Abstract

The solid electrolyte compounds of Li1+4xTi2−xNbyP3−yO12 (x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3; y = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3) were synthesized by a solid state reaction and studied by X-ray diffraction from the powder. At room temperature all of the compounds display the hexagonal symmetry (space group R3c) with six formula units in the unit cell. The values of the binding, splitting energies and amounts of elements of Ti 2p, Nb 3d, P 2p, O 1s, and Li 1s core level of the ceramics’ surfaces have been determined by XPS. Impedance spectroscopy of the ceramics has been performed in the frequency range of 10-3·109 Hz in the temperature interval 300–600 K. The insertion of niobium into the host compound Li1.4Ti1.9P3O12 leads to the changes of the value of ionic conductivity and its activation energy for the new ceramics.
